Some of the more insightful experiences that TRACE has derived from the employee screening practice are summarized hereunder –

Non existent university

A senior applicant for a key position with an MNC IT company was rejected from the selection process once TRACE established that the engineering degree that he had submitted was issued by a non existent university in Central India.

Field resources undertook an incisive survey of the claimed location after phone calls to this fake university never materialized and letters were returned undelivered.

Suppression of employment details

Another middle level computer engineer who was screened by TRACE had mentioned four jobs in his eight year long career but the firm’s investigators established that he had been in eleven jobs without disclosing this fact.

His services had been summarily terminated in all the seven companies that he had concealed in his resume.

Silence about litigation history

In yet another case involving a large real estate company, TRACE leveraged its legal expertise to unearth that a candidate had about half a dozen criminal cases pending against him in various courts, mostly on account of cheating.

The candidate in question was culpable of selling the same apartment to multiple owners by doctoring land documents.

Workplace promiscuity

A Director level candidate who was being considered for a CEO’s role by one of TRACE’s recruiting clients was observed to have had an illicit relationship with his former secretary while he was employed in another country which led to him being blackmailed by a scheming family member.

Unable to meet the blackmailer’s demands, he returned to India and was unable to articulate a compelling reason for his relocation to his prospective employer.

Fake Certificate

A male nurse / midwife who had applied for migration on the basis of fake qualification certificates was detected by TACT executives / investigators and exposed.
